Talk to us about your needsCustomisable flowchart menus
Work better by visualising your workflow. PowerLink dashboards utilise flowcharts which help you do what you need to do effectively. When you select a step in the flowchart the relevant dashboard is displayed so you are never lost. You can drill in on information displayed in a dashboard 'gadget' as well as sort, filter and search to find what you need. Hover over help text tells you what each step does.
Tools to help manage the sales cycle
When an new enquiry comes in, create an account for sales lead and start adding notes and tasks. Add custom fields to customer and prospect account screens with configurable drop down lists to keep important information about your customers. The dashboard will display all leads, quotes and your To Do List so you know exactly what you need to do to maximise each opportunity. Use the optional Cloud270 To Do List mobile app to keep in touch while you are away from your desk.
Dashboards help centralise customer data
While visual workflows are great, dedicated dashboards allow you to see the whole story about each customer. You can search on a customer and pull up their details instantly. You can see all contacts for each customer. Call them, send them a quick email, add notes and tasks.
Use the optional Cloud270 CRM mobile app to see customer information while you are away from your desk. You can even enter orders and quotes using a mobile device.
Streamline your quoting processes
Most customers like to have a quote before going ahead with work. No matter what industry you are in, PowerLink Quotes are flexible enough to handle your needs. You can create a quote using previous raised quotes or you can create your own template library.
You can also design your own quote layout so quotes will print beautifully giving your business that professional look that sets you apart from your competitors. You can even add custom fields show them on your quotes.
Most other quoting systems only handle basic quoting, but PowerLink allows you to have multiple sections and pages and add as much text as you want.
Live integration with Attaché inventory means item prices and availability is always up to date. Quotes can be printed or saved as PDF and emailed.
Total value, cost and gross profit margin are displayed for each line, section and the entire quote so you don't miss anything and can be as competitive as you need to be.
Follow-up quotes easily with the aid of the visual dashboards. Add notes to quotes to track history. Quotes can be revised and revision history retained.
Managers can filter quotes for each Sales Rep so you can see how everyone is going, who needs some help. Quotes can be assigned an estimated close date, and estimated percentage of success so you can manage your sales pipeline.
Manage recurring billing
PowerLink can handle periodic billing for services and recurring jobs using Standing Orders. You can create standing orders using previous raised quotes / orders or you can create your own template library. Each Standing Order can be assigned a Frequency code and these are used to generate invoices. When generating invoices you can elect to update prices using the current pricing or stick to the 'contract' prices on the order. Orders can be placed on hold if the customer does not need your services for a period. You can assign a start date and expiry dates so contracts can be repriced.
Manage jobs and projects
Successful quotes can be converted instantly to a job or you can manually create a job for a customer with a few mouse clicks. Managing jobs is easy in PowerLink. The jobs dashboard tells you what jobs are due and at what stage they are at any time. You can sort and filter jobs by Due Date, % Complete or Employee so that you are always on top of each job. The Kanban card view shows the flow of jobs as they progress through each stage, highlighting any bottlenecks or work shortages.
See detailed job costing information
PowerLink Job Costing reports and dashboards keep up to the minute track of your costs.
Specialised costing reports are available
The GL Costing option allows you to produce general ledger level costing reports. Create PowerLink 'job codes' and assign payroll, supplier and customer expenses to these jobs. Special 'Profit and Loss' style general ledger reports show the breakdown of your general ledger across these job codes.
Drag-and-drop scheduling
If jobs need to be done at specific times you can use the Job Planner to visually track jobs. Unscheduled jobs can be dragged directly on to the calendar. You can view employees schedules side by side. For example, select 'Plumbers' and then drag the job on to the employee schedule who has the least work on ensure balanced work loads and maximum work flow. As appointments are attended, mark them as 'Attended' and enter the actual time spent with notes. Attended appointments can be imported directly into timesheets for job billing and costing. Use the optional Cloud270 Appointments mobile app to allow employees to do it themselves and save even more time.
A better way to manage time
PowerLink allows several ways to track employee times spent on jobs. You can pull up a job and enter start and stop times against the job or enter the hours directly, you can use the Job Planner to enter time via appointments or you can enter all your time on daily timesheets. Employees can also enter their own time using PowerLink or using the optional Cloud270 Timesheets, Jobs or Appointments mobile app.
You can assign the type of work to an 'Activity' code and bill different activities at different rates. You can see activity across the entire business from the jobs dashboard as well as sort and filter by job, customer or employee.
PowerLink Timesheets integrate with Attaché Payroll so you can save hours each week producing payroll. Excess time spent of any activity in a day can be mapped to payroll Normal and Overtime codes for full time employees so you don't even have to adjust for overtime.
An easier way to manage labour cost and charge rates
If you need more flexibility, labour schedules can be used to bill the same activity at different rates depending on the jobs, customer and employee. For example, pay your 2nd year apprentices at different rates depending on which work site they work on (or customer they work for) and the type of work they perform. You can also bill and job cost this work at different rates.
Use the Kanban to manage jobs by status
Multiple jobs can be assigned to a single project and managed collectively. Create milestones for your project and visually track progress through each stage of completion using the customisable Jobs Kanban. The PowerLink Kanban is like having colourful cards on a virtual whiteboard. View all jobs for all milestones, or filter for the current milestone. You can create your own card designs and even show pictures for each employee so everyone can instantly see where the project is at. Use the optional Cloud270 Projects mobile app to stay in touch with your project when you are out of the office.
Manage machine and equipment costs
Keep track of costs of fuel, repairs, leasing, registration and other costs to get an accurate cost of running machines every hour. When a machine is added into PowerLink, a special job is created. Any costs assigned to the job are recorded against the machine. Inventory items for wet and dry machine hire are also created and can be used for billing customers. Together the income and costs for the machine are available and can be reported on over any period of time.
More control over manufacturing processes
You don't have to spend big on enterprise level manufacturing software to take control of your manufacturing processes. PowerLink Manufacturing is feature rich and easy to use for small and medium sized manufacturers. The Assemblies workflow visually displays each step in a typical manufacturing process, although you can use the customisation tools to get even more control. Start by creating a kit, assembly or bill of materials (they are all the same in PowerLink). Add components, labour and processes to the kit. You can have kits within kits to as many levels as you need. Get warnings about out of stock components or kits priced to low to be profitable.
Predict what kits need to be built based on customer orders and sales history. Enter the quantity to build and press a button to create 'Manufacturing Requisitions'.
Once requisitions are in progress you can track them from a dashboard. When they are built they can be receipted into stock to update stock levels.
Track manufacturing costs
Manufacturing requisitions (or internal work orders) can be assigned a job code so that labour, machine and other costs can be assigned and tracked.
Track batch or serial numbers and expiry dates
If you are in an industry where you need to keep track of serial (or batch) numbers, you can use PowerLink to manage this for you. Serial numbers can be entered on customer and supplier invoices. You can also add expiry dates for each line. You can search on a serial number to find when and who it was bought from and who it was sold to or where it was used (if it was used to manufacture another item).
Design your own reports
The Report Designer allows you to create reports which can display any data in PowerLink, Attache or even an external system with unrelated information in it. Start with one of the built-in 'reports' in our library or use the Report Wizard to design your own from scratch. Gadgets can have toolbars with buttons. You can program these buttons to sort, filter, display another gadget and much more. Gadgets can display charts (bar, line and pie), normal text or Kanban cards.
Design your dashboards
The Dashboard Designer allows you to create dashboards which can display any data in PowerLink, Attache or even an external system with unrelated information in it. Use standard 'Gadgets' on your dashboards or create your own with the PowerLink Report Designer (gadgets are just a report). Gadgets can have toolbars with buttons. You can program these buttons to sort, filter, display another gadget and much more. Gadgets can display charts (bar, line and pie), normal text or Kanban cards.
The Dashboard Design Wizard will take you through each step of designing your dashboard. Start by giving your dashboard a name. Add pages to your dashboards. Each page can have up to 10 'gadgets' on them in a variety of different configurations. You can share dashboards with other users or keep them private.
Design your own applications and solutions
PowerLink has some powerful customisations tools. You can create reports, dashboards, databases, tables and forms and put them altogether to create a custom application or 'Solution'. Solutions can be added to the in-built menus, or you can launch them from the workflow menu. The PowerLink Solution Builder has it's own built in language of commands which allow you access to the PowerLink API. You can also use these commands to get data from Attache and other external systems and even interface with web-sites.
